The role of Loan Syndications is to co-originate/structure and distribute loan, mezzanine and other similar private products (L/Cs, guarantees etc.). Transactions can be arranged on an underwritten or best efforts basis. Over 150 Group professionals are dedicated to this activity globally with clients serviced on a regional basis by three teams covering (i) Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) (ii) Asia & Australasia and (iii) the Americas.

- Syndication of corporate acquisition finance, project and infrastructure finance, leveraged and media telecom finance, commodity finance and other bank lending product lines of BNP Paribas,
- Secondary sales and trading of loans.

Loans Syndications is a Top 6 player globally and Top 3 in EMEA by volume of transactions. Based on the number of transactions arranged, BNP Paribas is the Number 1 loan arranging house in EMEA enjoying a 40% lead over its nearest rival (September 2007).

Our organisation

Loans Syndications operates from offices located in the keys syndication markets within each region.
As at September 2007, 77 professionals are based in EMEA working from offices in London, Paris, Geneva, Milan, Madrid and Bahrain, 40 professionals are based in Americas working in New York and 25 professionals are based in Asia & Australasia working from offices in Hong-Kong, Singapore, Taipei, Sydney and Tokyo.
